THE BEGINNING
VP Racing Fuels was founded by Steve Burns, who initially exhibited his aptitude for R&D in the early 1970’s as a young racer in San Antonio, Texas. Self-taught in chemistry and physics, Steve was convinced the race fuel manufacturers of the day were falling short in their quest for optimum horsepower.
To address this shortcoming, he began experimenting with exotic blends of fuel, much to the dismay of his parents whose garage served as Steve’s laboratory. Steve began at the local tracks of Texas, where racers tried his fuel and liked the power gains. His first fuel was christened “C12™,” the word spread and Steve’s company was founded as VP Racing Fuels in 1975.

Designed for today’s modern stock or modified 2-stroke engines, T2 is pre-mixed at a 40:1 ratio with a top quality JASO FD-rated, certified premium synthetic oil that, combined with the other fuel components, offers optimum performance. Because it contains no ethanol, T2 prevents repairs needed for ethanol-related problems. This increases the time between rebuilds, extends the life of your engine, and lowers your long-term costs, all while making more power over pump gas.
T4 is designed for stock or slightly modified 4-stroke engines. Unleaded and ethanol-free, T4 is a direct pour-in replacement for premium pump gas, which has a short storage life and has caused a heightened need for repairs in all engines after periods of non-use. While riders facing extreme conditions are forced to add octane boosters or race fuel to increase the octane of pump gas, T4’s 97 octane rating (R+M/2) provides greater protection against detonation. (Compared with more expensive performance parts that increase power along only a small slice of the power curve, T4 offers 2-3% more power and better throttle response across the entire RPM range.)
The best all around racing fuel ever made. Recommended for compression ratios up to 15:1, satisfying the needs of 75% of today’s automotive race engines. One of the winningest fuels in racing history, C12 has been the preferred fuel for drag, circle track, and road racers in North America and around the world. C12 is also the best all around two stroke fuel. Works great in vintage air cooled two strokes as well as new engines.
VP’s AMA SX/MX legal unleaded fuel for motocross and supercross, engineered to generate maximum horsepower in 4-stroke applications in conformance with AMA Pro Racing rules. Makes more power than any other AMA-legal fuel on the market! Requires minimal jetting/mapping changes and will not require radical changes in ignition timing like other fuels on the market. Contains MTBE.
Clearly the best performing two stroke fuel for stock and modified engines, period! MRX02 is effective in delivering up to 7% more power than pump gas and any basic non-oxygenated race fuel. Contains MTBE.
C50 is a truly revolutionary racing fuel designed exclusively for 50cc 2-stroke motorcycles. It is the result of extensive testing with Cobra Moto and works well in all 50cc 2-stroke motorcycles. If you’re not bound by fuel rules, this leaded fuel is the best choice for virtually any powersports application. U4.4 reg offering the biggest gain vs. cost of any performance part you can buy. The latest generation of our U4-based fuels, U4.4 Reg makes more power than pump gas across a wider range of applications than its predecessors. Designed as a direct, pour-in replacement for pump gas, it will require modest jetting changes, i.e., +2 main jets or +2 pilot jets at most. With its higher octane rating, U4.4 Reg is designed for use in stock and modified 2-stroke and 4-stroke applications. Contains MTBE.
VP’s latest fuel for 4-stroke or 2-stroke powersports applications, VPR bridges the gap between pump gas and race fuel. Reflecting the consistent quality racers rely on from VP products, there’s nothing standard about this 110 blend. Formulated for use in naturally aspirated engines with compression ratios up to 12:1.
MS109 is an unleaded, highly oxygenated fuel that produces more power than any other unleaded fuel – up to 5% more than premium unleaded. Recommended for applications with up to 25 lbs of boost and naturally aspirated engines with compression ratios up to 13:1. Compared to other unleaded fuels, MS109 is the best, all-around product for motorsports.
